I was born in Oak Park Illinois where I learned homebuilding in the great architecture around Chicago. We lived in the city for 20 years but still have our hunting/fishing camp in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where we get back to a couple times a year. I now live in Livingston Montana with my wife Sandi, two labs Cassie and Molly, and our two horses Butch and Kegan. And my wife's cat, Alley, I'm not a cat guy…..
Livingston is small-town America and is where we will live til the end. To be able to build the homes we do and pick a direction to hunt and fish among these mountains is a dream come true. Moving here was a risk we took and dissolved my business in Chicago and started Fishcamp Custom llc in 2011 and never imagined that our business would grow to what it is today.
My love for the outdoors was set early...
My father started taking me and my brothers hunting and fishing with him when we were really young. Some of my first memories are the lakes and woods of northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula, which is why, come fall, I have to be at our camp in the U.P., following our bird dogs all day and chasing muskies and walleyes in the afternoons. The Northwoods connect me to those memories and make new ones every year.
The outdoors are my mental break from work and therapy to keep balanced. Living here in Montanas Paradise Valley gives me immediate access to be able to get that break. Plus, having Yellowstone Park 40 minutes away is pretty incredible with a constant supply of wildlife to photograph throughout the year.
"Soak up every moment of your life! Take that trip, get outside." I don't know anyone who took a trip and said, “Man I wished I stayed back and worked!”
I started wearing mucks a decade or so ago for working in Montana on job sites, around our ranch and hunting and ice fishing.
Muckproof means BOMBPROOF! Wear them everywhere in the worst of elements confidently!
